Mohs Hardness: Agate is a durable variety of quartz, with a hardness rating of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. This makes it a tough gemstone that is resistant to scratches and suitable for daily wear.

Care and Maintenance:

• Cleaning: Clean your agate with warm, mild, soapy water and a soft cloth or soft brush. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a soft, lint-free cloth. Pink agate can also be cleansed by rinsing under lukewarm running water.
• Avoidances: Though generally stable, avoid prolonged exposure to intense heat or direct sunlight, which can potentially cause colors to fade. Also avoid contact with harsh chemicals and acids, as these can etch or damage the stone's surface.
