These vibrant Orange Cubic Zirconia stones are available in two classic, calibrated oval sizes: Small 9mm by 7mm (4mm high) and Large 10mm by 8mm (5mm high). Featuring a brilliant, "sunset" orange hue, these lab-created stones offer exceptional fire and clarity. The oval cut combines the sparkle of a round brilliant with an elongated shape that flatters the wearer, while the substantial depths (4mm and 5mm) allow for deep pavilions that maximize light return and color saturation.
The high-intensity orange color provides a striking alternative to fire opal or spessartite garnet, making these stones perfect for bold statement rings, high-visibility pendants, or vibrant earring sets.
Key Properties & Care
Cubic Zirconia (CZ) is one of the most durable and "jeweler-friendly" materials available, providing the look of high-end colored gemstones with the toughness required for everyday use.
-
Mohs Hardness: With a hardness of 8.5, these stones are incredibly resistant to scratching. They will maintain their sharp facet edges and polished surface far longer than softer natural stones like Apatite or Fluorite.
-
Cleaning: CZ is very easy to clean. Use lukewarm water, a mild detergent, and a soft brush. These stones are safe for ultrasonic and steam cleaners, making them easy to maintain in a professional workshop or at home.
-
Maintenance:
-
UV Resistance: Unlike some natural orange stones that can fade in harsh light, the saturation of these CZs is permanent and will not change over time.
-
Chemical Stability: They are resistant to most common chemicals, including perfumes and hairsprays, though it is always good practice to clean the stones regularly to remove surface buildup.
-
Precision Sizing: Both the 9x7mm and 10x8mm sizes are standard industry calibrations, ensuring they will fit easily into pre-made commercial settings or custom-built bezels.
-
-
Storage: Because of their high hardness, store these orange stones away from softer gems (like Turquoise or Amber) to prevent the CZ from scratching the other stones' surfaces.
