Ring Wax Slices - Flat Top, Small

These slices of hard jeweller’s carving wax are perfect for creating rings and other detailed pieces using the lost wax casting process. Designed specifically for jewellery making, this wax is easy to carve while still being strong enough to support delicate forms and fine details.

The flat top shape allows for more top heavy carving or a bit more space for stone setting.

Hard carving wax allows you to achieve crisp lines and precise textures using carving tools, files, drills, and rotary tools. It also has a small amount of flexibility, making it suitable for thinner designs without snapping.

The different colours indicate slight variations in hardness and flexibility:

• Blue wax – slightly more flexible, ideal for beginners and more delicate designs

• Purple wax – a little firmer, excellent for crisp carving and fine detail

• Green wax – generally the hardest option, great for very precise work

The wax can also be heated and melted for shaping, although this should always be done outdoors or under good ventilation.
