Spinel - Rose Cut

These elegant Rose Cut Spinel cabochons are offered as three unique pieces: two ovals

Spinel is an underappreciated mineral known for its excellent hardness, beautiful clarity, and natural color range.

Mohs Hardness: Spinel has a hardness of 8. It is an extremely hard and sturdy gemstone, offering excellent resistance to daily scratching, making it a reliable choice for daily rings. It is harder than quartz, agate, and jasper.

• Cleaning: This stone is very easy to care for. You can clean it with warm soapy water and a soft brush or cloth. It is generally safe for both ultrasonic and steam cleaners due to its toughness and lack of cleavage planes.
• Maintenance:
  • Durability: Spinel is exceptionally tough and stable. It is resistant to chemicals, heat, and light, and it won't be harmed by perfumes or skin oils.
  • Surface Finish: Because of the rose-cut faceting, it takes a high polish that offers excellent brilliance even at its shallow height.
• Storage: At a hardness of 8, Spinel can scratch nearly all other gems, but it can still be scratched by Diamonds (10) and Corundum (Ruby/Sapphire, 9). It should always be stored separately in its own cloth pouch or a dedicated compartment to protect your entire collection.
