Approximately 1 gram of sterling silver solder in a convenient metal tin with a slide top. Available in 3 grades:
Hard - melting temp 740 degrees celsius
Medium - melting temp 690 degrees celsius
Easy - melting temp 670 degrees celsius
This is the usual silver solder used in our classes along with flux (we use borax cones). Flux is required for this solder to melt correctly, and should be pickled afterwards.
You will need some sharp snips to cut your solder plate into pallions (little chips).
