Thermoloc is a fantastic product for your hard to hold settings! Warm it up in hot water until pliable, then mould around your metal setting. You can even create a tab at the bottom to be clamped in a vice. Once it is cooled and hardened you can set your stones while your piece is held securely. To release, place the whole piece back in hot water.
